A large energy Client turned to XponentL to accelerate their digital transformation. With a broad portfolio of technologies and solutions ranging from sensors and edge analytics to enterprise- scale Artificial Intelligence, the client helps customers maximize their data assets for better data driven decision making.
The underlying Materials data, comprised of 30M+ distinct Materials, was plagued with poor data quality and difficult to search resulting in cost leakage throughout the enterprise. This data was key to business performance including tracking inventory assets, supply chain visibility, and on time performance to its customers.
Solution
XponentL deployed a SWAT team of Data Engineers, master data, and data marketplace SMEs to perform the following:
Create end-to-end Databricks architecture to ensure effective management and movement of enterprise Materials data.
Perform rapid data profiling and development of Al generated quality rules using LightUp.
Re-define the process of create Core Data Products (Well, Wellbore, Materials).
Implemented Tamr Al-centric MDM platform to master Well & Materials data to ensure effective downstream consumption.
Created a Data Marketplace proof-of-concept based on Databricks Unity Catalog to enable rapid search of Materials data and documents.
